♪ Moonlight Breakfast- Hard Times ♪

I can't help myself but laugh as I am looking at these pictures. They show a very happy version of me, back on the 1st of December when the weather was incredible, I only grabbed a jacket and I was off to see Cloud Atlas which is definetely the best movie I've seen in 2012 (I still love Skyfall, don't worry, I wouldn't have named an outfit post after it otherwise!).

For some reason, that day felt like spring and I had so much fun with some of my friends and I had a positive thinking and I was like 'I bet it's only going to snow in February'. That's why I decided to wear my crop top (ha!) and the neon necklace I never got to wear last summer (ha ha ha).

Of course, the weather changed just as quick as my mood and now I am constantly covered in snow and exams. That's why I had to take such a long break from the blog, it is no secret that my studies are on the first place right now and I have to keep it toghether as I have decided to go for medicine (every Sunday in this semester has been about anatomy). It only felt like Christmas is approaching this weekend , when all my close friends started to give my hints about gifts and. I allowed myself to take a little break and let my creativity ( & savings) flow. It felt so good, and I am so happy to be back!

Also, I hope you entered the giveaway!

“How difficult it is to be simple.” -Irving Stone (Lust for Life)

I had the most incredible 9 days with my cousins. Magical, even Florence worthy judging by the fun & crowded program. Not only the new friends, activities and long walks counted (10 km was the longest, I love a big city!!) but also spending time in my favourite bookstore, Carturesti , with a pleasant company for 3 days in a row. Needless to say, I came home broke but with a bag full of books and with a joy which words cannot properly describe!

You know how you can never be happy with what you have? There I was, having so much stuff to do, yet whinning about how I don't have enough time to read my long wanted book, Lust for Life . I have been searching for this book for a long long time, because Irving Stone's biographical books are INCREDIBLE. I think I have blogged about the 'Agony & Ecstasy' which describes the life of Michelangelo because I was astounded by the amount of history and information it gives.

Well, Lust for Life, the book about the life of Vincent Van Gogh not only has both, but also a breathtaking life philosophy. I barely managed to put this book down, and every 20 pages there would be a quote or a line which would open my eyes and make me ponder about 15 minutes. I keep it everywhere around me , it's an absolute masterpiece and it makes me respect the author even more!

I wore this outfit the very first day my chiffon peach shirt arrived! Now, this shirt has everything I ever wanted : the light color, comfy fabric, fancy cut, feminine allure and a feather print!!! Plus, it matches the book haha. Also, how cute are my navy shorts? I only own 2 pair of shorts actually because I prefer dresses for the summer so special thanks to my best friend S. for being brave enough to get these for my birthday!

Hello my dears , sorry for being late with the outfit post again, but I had my cousins over for a week and I have been super busy entertaining them. We had a great time playing tennis, ping-pong, basketball , relaxing in the hammock at the countryside, watching the semifinals of Euro2012 and last but not least, I really enjoyed the role of a tourist guide when I showed them my town.

This is what I wore exactly one week ago, on the last day of school when I was awarded a scholarship and I figured I should dress smarter than usual. I don't only invest in the things which are 'IN' for the season (i.e. those mint pants I'm wearing all over the blog), but I also consider how many times and on how many occasions would that item be appropriate. This outfit is exclusively a mix of this kind of clothing, that I am certain that will go a long way. Take the black skirt for example: it has a fancy cut so it can be trendy this season, but in three years I can still picture myself wearing it. The white top tucked in is the same from this outfit post. I know, it's so versatile!

Have a wonderful weekend! x

'We are not what you think we are- we are golden! '

I've been a bad blogger I know, but I had many events in my life lately! So yes, I am thinking that 'Chatty Cathy' may be my alter ego because everytime I blog I feel like I could write a novel. It's hard for me to stop, yet there is a thin line between sharing your life with your readers and your safety and privacy. Well, I've been gone because I had the Speaking Examination for my CAE exam and although it went quite well, I was so nervous!! Good thing shopping releases tension, the Mango store was the only one to comfort me after this important exam and this awesome white top I got from there is the greatest reward I could get!

I remember how I was complaining about the rain couple of weeks ago. Well, heat please go away!! I love wearing sunglasses, but as an accessory and not a necessity (yes, I am aware of how this may sound) and I can only wear ponytails and buns right now! Don't get me wrong, I love how fashionable everything looks but fewer degrees wouldn't hurt anybody.

Also, today I had my pre-birthday party! My birthday is actually on 12th of August but my incredible mates bought me a gift already, because I was always sad I don't get to celebrate my birthday at school. I made 36 chocolate cupcakes for them which you can see after the break and I got as a present the 'Hunger Games' trilogy.

Now, about the outfit of the day: the central piece is obviously my amazing statement necklace but I also really love the yellow&mint combination, I would have never thought they would go so well toghether. Also, I love the lenght of my new top and the details, it's just the perfect thing to wear for any ocasion! The floral printed flats are so comfortable, they have been my favorites these past few days.

Huge thanks to Diana & Simona for the incredible photos!

♫Sweet Thing- 'Change of Seasons'♫

Hello, this is just a quick update because I didn't have time to shoot a proper outfit. This is just a look I wore yesterday when I went out for a walk with my family and I thought it's nice to share, even if there are barely any photos. In fact, I was thinking that this kind of 'outfit of the day' is actually something I can do on a regular basis, if you would like.

Yes, this is how I mostly dressup nowadays, I have a thing for maxi skirts at the moment and of course, for my brand new choker necklace!!(see more details after the break). You may wonder what's up with the title. Well, first of all it's a song that I really love and, secondly, I don't know what it's like in your town, but the weather is extremely strange around here! In fact, that's why I didn't get to take more photos, because two minutes after there was a full storm and my umbrella wasn't exactly fashionable nor matching the outfit.

What do you think about the pastels and nude tones? As I've told you before, this season really suits me, regarding the trends.
Have a great week and thanks for being here!

Before I start with the aim of this post, please take a look at my oh-so-wanted golden choke necklace I  have just received yesterday (you can also buy it online here). I cannot wait to show you how well it matches a particular outfit!

Now, hello there!  Absence once again, posting in a rush once again, but this time is all about telling you that I figured out how we can keep in touch without me struggling to post on a regular basis. I'm sure you have all heard about Instagram and that plenty of you even have an account. I don't usually pick a favorite social network, but this is the one! I love being on Instagram more than anything because I can keep everyone who is interested updated and I love how I can post about the little things (like my light dinner) or the live coverage while shooting for an outfit post. I am @marymanaila there and no worries, I have figured out everything! If you don't have a phone that supports Instagram or you're just not fond of the app , you can see all the news at the web version of my profile.

For those who didn't know about this, I am more than happy to show&tell how my  hectic week was(with photos taken from my Instagram  profile, of course):
