♪ Changed it- Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne♪

Before I moved out of my hometown to go to Med School, I bought this pencil skirt and this statement blazer. I proudly told my mom I have to own these type of elegant, statement pieces, because that's how doctors dress. You see, I was inspired by my aunt, who is always so fashionable, she has the best dresses (which I borrow sometimes)! Soon after I started college I realized my classy clothes have to hang in the closet for a long time. When you're on the run from one hospital to another or spend way too many hours in school, you feel like jeans are too fancy already. I just throw on a simple T-shirt, jeans, labcoat and I'm good to go. This is also why I can't walk for more than an hour in heels anymore- I would choose my Nikes over everything nowadays.

My style had to adapt, but this doesn't mean I've changed. Deep down, I'm still an advocate of feminine clothes. I love how wearing a skirt or dress makes me feel. Whenever there's an occasion, I'm more than happy to dress this way! This blazer is absolutely my favorite, because of the intricate details, and the colors- one second you swear it's golden, then you say it's pale blue. It's actually the first time I've worn it in three years, it was long overdue! I felt so amazing wearing it, especially because my talented friend Codrina offered to take some photos so I can show it to you as well. Also special thanks to Andreea for the advice, she has an eye for detail. Support from my friends and family means everything to me, they're the ones who made me find time to blog again, and I've been feeling so great ever since!

I actually took these photos way back in December when I attended a Medical Congress in Bucharest, but I didn't want to post them because I've lost 6 pounds since then. Going through my phone today, it hit me that I was being unfair. I remembered that the day I took them I was radiating with confidence and loving my body! I don't know if there's anyone on this planet who doesn't have insecurities when it comes to their body. Yet, some people always seem so happy with their look! I realized as I grew up it's all about how we choose to handle these issues.

I was way skinnier in high school, yet I never truly accepted my shape. I have a "pear" body type and I dreaded shopping for jeans and during summer I would wear a lot of long dresses. Some health issues came up and I gained weight, hence more frustration followed. And you know what happened after a couple of months of hopeless dieting? I started to LOVE MYSELF. I would read about this all the time, but I didn't truly understand the concept until I was facing this big challenge in my life. I focused on my treatment and loved my body in its new shape! I think that in order to do that, there has to be a trigger. Mine might sound simple, but it had a huge impact on my life. It was just about the time Kim Kardashian West was stepping up  after giving birth to North and she had a whole style change going on! I liked how she was rocking those fitted jeans, the bodycon dresses, those long tight dresses, so why wouldn't I wear them as well? Nowadays, you find tight, lace skirts in my closet, four bodycon dresses and I own more pairs of jeans. The second best thing for me was listening to rap music- I mean, you have to know what Drake celebrates in his songs most haha. Sooner of later, you have to find something in your life that inspires you into this direction. I believe that we're living exciting times, because the media is slowly starting to support this movement (some fashion houses, like Yeezy, who didn't cast only size 0 & Ashley Graham walked in Michael Kors in February).

This is a really personal post, but I feel like I had to share my thoughts because some of you might be going through the same thing. We're not flawless, but I happen to think our imperfections make us beautiful and unique. Celebrate your body no matter what, because at the end of the day, you are as happy as you choose to be!

♪ Stromae - Carmen ♪

I remember like it was yesterday. I was 15, just discovering Tumblr, when I saw the most beautiful dresses! They were all designed by Elie Saab, and I knew that instant he would be my favorite evening dress designer for life. I don't mean to say there aren't many talented designers who make beautiful festive dresses, it's just that my heart beats differently when I see his creations. I think what really made me intrigued in the first place is that he didn't use to design wedding dresses, and there were some famous women in the industry who would wear his nude/pink/baby blue designs for their wedding, just so they could wear an Elie Saab dress on their big day! This is fortunately no longer the case ( not that I would be able to afford an Elie Saab dress ever) , there is a special bridal Elie Saab line nowadays.

I thought I could make your Friday better by sharing my favorite details from his Couture Spring 2017 show *sigh*. This particular collection is 100%  my style. I'm all about pink, nudes, pastels, sparkles, but I also go for playful looks (those fabulous sunglasses!). I will always admire his creations, in my eyes the Elie Saab House is ICONIC in the fashion industry.

Think you can handle so many beautiful clothes at once? It's art!

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY! May you always be happy, bold, creative & loved!

Today I'm going to talk about something really personal, since it's such a special and beautiful day! As you may know already, I'm in my 3rd year in Med School. I don't know what it's like in the other countries, but in Romania we have this very efficient thing: we are split into groups, so that when we go into hospitals we can be just 9 people in a room and not stress the patients (that is, many times, just in theory, because sometimes we end up being 4 groups in a place at once, total madness!). Naturally, you spend all day with the people in your group, en route to different hospitals, in lectures, in the hospitals etc. I  thank God everyday I was so lucky to end up in my group. We get along so well, although we have different hobbies and tastes, that it honestly amazes me to this day! We laugh, we complain, we talk about our studies, we get together in the weekends, they have become my support system! When I moved to Iasi to study, it was particularly hard for me, because all my friends from highschool chose other cities(or countries) and I was all alone. I never thought I would come across to not one, but 8 incredible people who always have my back! I LOVE YOU, guys!!

Because there's still more to this story, I have to tell you that whenever it's someone's birthday, we surprise them with a gift. My birthday is on 12th of August, during our summer break. Imagine my surprise when I went to uni today and found all of them with this gorgeous (super super) early birthday present waiting for me! I was in shock because I usually plan these surprises and it never occurred to me that I would get a gift, let alone on Women's Day. I was so impressed because how well they know me: I got this amazing bday balloon (I have to tell you I'm super OBSESSED with balloons, ask my family how my bday parties looked like when I was a kid), sweets (because...obviously, do I need to explain this?) and...
From my favorite tea party brand, KATIE ALICE....
The Cottage Flower Set of Tea, Coffee & Sugar Tins
As I plan to move soon, I've been super into interior design lately and I have admired this set on multiple occasions, but I kept telling myself I have to prioritize and get a mixer/plates/curtains (basically a bunch of stuff) first. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, I can't wait for the days these will be the stars in my kitchen.

Red Riding Hood

I've always been afraid of wearing red. I don't know why, I guess I like to blend in the crowd sometimes, you know me & my pink/nude obsession. Everything changed this Christmas, when mom got me this beautiful coat from a local factory. Although it's clearly not for winter, I insisted to wear it when we exchanged gifts for Secret Santa (for obvious reasons haha!). I love everything about it. It gives me so much confidence, and I feel like it's also a dress with that waist bow detail and everything. I'm posting these old photos I took back then because this whole past week I've been wearing it (5-10 Celsius degrees is just the right temperature for it). I guess you can say things really do change as you get older. Now I'm suddenly into RED and statement coats, apparently.

Thanks mom for such an awesome Christmas gift, I'll cherish it forever & thanks Codrina for taking these snaps even though it was pouring!

I know that by now all you probably read about how Emma's Givenchy Haute Couture dress took 1700 hours to create, how she radiantly accepted the award from my favorite actor(Leo) and you have your own personal opinion about the dress. I personally loved it not  just because I love everything Givenchy, but because it represented both "La La Land" and the golden statue she received.

I wanted to make Emma the "Fancy Friday" star this week because I changed the design of my blog and I had such nostalgia that I read many of my old posts. And guess what I found, written by me in 2012:

" I have just decided on my favourite actress! I have seen her in many movies (comedies mostly) but after the 'The Help' where she is in the posture of a deep and independent character I have to say it's Emma Stone! Not only her acting and looks are incredible, but have you seen her style evolution?"

5 years later and Emma has her very own Oscar, and I believed she would get it from day one, so I'm so proud of her achievement and her iconic choice of outfit! I'll leave you to an incredible sketch I found on Tumblr, made by a fan and this awesome Glamour article where you can see how smart and funny she is (if you didn't know already!)

♪ Voices in my head/Stick to the plan - Big Sean ♪

It's finally Friday, so I'm going to enjoy it as long as it lasts! I thought I should give you a reason to enjoy it too, with all these beautiful dresses that I discovered. I truly wanted to find some fun, easy to wear, hot dresses and I'm obsessed! Let's take the first one, you have to check out the details for yourself. The red embroidery made me fall in love instantly. The second one is about my romantic side- pastels and ruffles all the way, but still super cool for a night out. The black one emphasizes my love for sequins, and it actually has a open back, which has been my constant choice for the last two years, so bonus points for that! Now, the crop top& skirt white ensemble is just one example of the genius sexy white party dresses you can find on StyleWe. I told you last week how much I love the crop top/skirt & lace combination, to all my friends reading this, my birthday is coming up in August *wink wink*.

I don't know about you, but all my childhood was about dressing up my dolls in unique ways. When I turned 9 I found all these cool internet games, and I started dressing up different celebrities (fyi up until that age I only knew Angelina Jolie and maybe Leonardo Dicaprio haha). There are times when I just see a dress and I instanly think of a famous person who should wear it. And this happened to me while visiting this site. I fell in love with a beautiful royal blue party dress (photo after the break) but I knew it in my heart that: A. it wouldn't look right on me & B. this dress screams Selena Gomez! With the assymetrical cut and that draped shoulder- you see it too, right? It's so fabulous and chic! I also thought of Emma Stone when I saw the dress on the right(2nd collage) because ever since she's starred in La La Land I feel like she's going in a mature style direction, and I love that about her! And last but not least, what's a better choice for a royal blue dress than an actual ROYAL? When I saw the beautiful lace & the waist details I thought of Duchess of Cambridge, although I'll admit I would wear this dress myself to a cocktail party at a medical congress.

I hope you'll enjoy your weekend and I do have one more tip: StyleWe has awesome
rompers for sale right now, that one with hot pink bottom really stole my heart!

The blog is 6 years old today. I can't believe this, it seems like it was only yesterday that I started writing about the latest trends. I can't even remember when I started sharing my outfits online, or photos from my trips! Even though I'm obviously not a teen anymore (hopefully I can make some changes to the blog's name this summer, although it's gonna be really difficult), I can't make myself quit blogging. It's a big part of my life, this blog has been with me through my adolescence and young adult years. Every single time I want to remember some places I've seen, or when I bought a certain dress, I visit my blog and it's all here! It's like magic. I'll admit the last 2 years I've been focusing on my studies, but I've always found the time to blog about the big changes in my life, and I plan to keep it this way. I've accomplished so many great things thanks to it, I made so many new friends, learned about web design and improved my English over the years. I truly recommend it to everyone: if you have something on your mind, you should put it in writing. You'll be surprised how many people can relate and want to follow your journey!

Oh well, let's not get too sentimental, because I do want to write about the outfit of the day. The color theme is obviously matching Valentine's Day - because it's the same date my blog was born. I got the bodysuit from the winter sales from H&M and it's honestly the item I've always wanted in my closet (I have a summer version without sleeves, from the same store). The faux leather skirt is the best buy I got this winter, I still can't believe how cheap it was! And it's from Zara, in such a beautiful pale pink/nude shade, I can't wait to wear it this whole summer. I feel like ever since I got the NAKED 3 palette for Christmas I've been wearing only pastels and pink hues. This definitely reflected in this winter's shopping spree.

I wish you have the best day and I want to thank you one more time for always supporting me! I love you lots xx

I'm finally done with my finals, so I'm on a mini break. I've missed blogging a lot, but I had a really important semester in Med School and I really wanted to focus on my studies. A lot has been going on in my life lately, and I truly hope I can start blogging again to share everything with you. Let's start with something I'm sure we all loved in January: the winter sales! I got some amazing things at Zara this season, my absolute favorite being the glittery dress you can see above (left).

I noticed I was most interested in party dresses this time around, probably because I have a big family event coming up this summer and I still have no idea what I'm going to wear. Naturally, I also searched online, and the key Bridesmaid Dresses UK led me to find some incredible ones which I want to share with you. Above I selected my favorites, it was a tough choice because the site, Aisle Style has a special collection - Bridesmaid Dresses 2017. I felt like they were all my style, because it's mainly pastels (I mean, the blush pink one is divine!) and most of them have intricate lace details (the red one is my absolute favorite, I'll admit). And I have to mention their selection of Prom Dresses, back in the days I even designed my own prom dress, but I have to acknowledge their Homecoming Dresses are total stunners (the white and pale blue one- you have to see the details on the corset to see what I'm talking about)!

Naturally, when I visit a dress site, I always end up in the Wedding Dresses section (please tell me I'm not the only one haha). I was so in love with the style, everthing is so feminine & simple. Lace is popular among their designs, and I adore that they don't overuse it, it's just about the small details (like the corsets you can see after the jump). A really interesting design that has been picking up lately - the crop top & skirt wedding attire- can also be found there. What do you think about this trend? I love it, but I don't know if I would have the courage to wear this. I was also impressed with the fact I've found Communion Dresses , I don't know many places to buy them online. It's interesting how I was interested in Dresses for Weddings and I ended up falling in love with the whole online shop. What do you think about my selection? Would you wear them?

♪ Drake- Summer 16♪

When Drake dropped "Summer 16" I suddenly had a good feeling about this summer! I couldn't be more right, this summer flew by and there's so many places I saw and so many things I've learned! Besides going to the UNTOLD festival and seeing Rihanna live, I'll never forget how much I've loved Sicily, especially Taormina. I'm currently packing for my last trip before university starts again, but I felt like sharing these photos my cousin Ioana took while we visited Taormina for the third time. I'm wearing the most comfy skirt from Primark which my aunt got me from the UK and my favorite sandals ever (bought from Sicily actually), which are from Bata.

I've also included in this post photos of the BEST cannoli made in Sicily, from Da Cristina (find them in Taormina). It's where I also discovered how a true gnocchi sorrentina should taste like and the pleasure of having almonds, chocolate and so many other things in your cannoli filling!

The hottest day we had in Sicily turned out to be the day we had to travel most, because Villa Romana del Casale and Ragusa are far away from Taormina. The heat was also the reason I don't have many outfit photos from that day, absolutely none would look ok in that much amount of sun! Still, I have plenty of food photos and the beautiful places we visited that day.

It took us about 2 hours and a half to get to Villa Romana Del Casale - which is a Roman villa built back in the 4th century- what's incredible about it is the fact that after a big earthquake most of it colapsed. Yet, hundred of years after that, archaeologists discovered some breathtaking Roman mosaics, in perfect condition - it is, to date, the richest collection of Roman mosaics in the world, which is why it was made an UNESCO World Heritage Site. I couldn't take any photos because they were very strict, but believe me, it's totally worth the visit ( just Google it). As beautiful as it was, we still struggled with the heat, so we stopped at the famous Trattoria La Ruota nearby for some refreshments. There, we had the best cannoli in Sicily (okay, it's a tie with Taormina's Da Cristina, but more on that in a future post!).

After this, we headed to Ragusa (once again a long ride). One very important thing you must know about Ragusa: there is the new town (on a hill) and the old one (the historical and charming part). We kept going down with our cars and then we came to a point we couldn't get any further with our cars (you can see the main photo of this post how much there was still to go down) and then we had to go down the stairs- hundreds and hundreds of them! Ragusa Ibla (the old town) is so charming and unique, it wasn't like any old town I've visited before and it was the best cardio workout I got in Sicily ( I imagine people living there are so fit!). It was about 4PM and we were looking for a place to have lunch, but as you know, Italians have their siesta at that time, so there was almost no restaurant open! We weren't just starving after the cardio workout, but also couldn't cope with the heat anymore. We were lucky enough to find Biancomangiare , which is like a bistro, so there we found ourselves eating- burgers and fries in Italy! If you told me I would go to Sicily and have a burger I would have told you- never in a million years! But you know what? They're on the 2nd place in my life list for burgers (the 1st places belongs to Vivo in Iasi, obviously!).  I guess you never know what's in store for you! Now, about our hike back to the cars after having such a rich meal...it's safe to say we burned all calories that burger had haha!
