I believe fashion counscious people are always open towards new trends. When I decided it was time to start my own fashion blog it was because I felt I couldn't relate to the term "fashionable" in my community.

There are many people who don't understand the term TREND. I can't define it even at this moment, because it's something tricky in it. What is it about trends that makes people all over the world want to buy a maxi skirt  or clogs? Is it a good PR strategy or designers just make the best of certain patterns/colors/clothes?

I've always said to myself that I would not be the type of person who wears a thing just because it is IN. However, I do appreciate one thing about trends: they made me realise that some things can be really fun to wear.

Take this clutch/bag for example. I got it with the Nina Ricci perfume couple years ago and I didn't like it at all. Yet, this fall, when sparkles and glitters were all over the stores, in magazines, on fashion blogs it occured to me that I could wear it in many enchanting ways.

As for the Ipod, I love it because it's the closest thing to Iphone. I am a huge Apple fan (although I own  a Samsung Galaxy S II)  and the new Iphone 4S seems just amazing! They're definetely great products, and I love the quality and the design. I found this site with all kinds of phones at great prices, who knows, I may actually get one in the future.

My question is: 
Are there such things as FASHION PET PEEVES or the trends just make us be more open?

    that happens to me too, that I really don't like something that I have and then some years later, thanks to new fashion trends I start liking it. I think fashion trends influence us all in a way, even if we don't want to.

    I always believe in word of mouth. It is a very strong and influential marketing tool =)
    I'm not one who likes sparkly item as much but lately by looking at bloggers who made it look so interesting, I'm now thinking twice about getting something sparkly too =)

    Personally I find fashion trends super useful because as you said they make us open to new ideas and trends. I also find them extremely inspirational. But in the end i guess it just really depends if I personally like it. I'm not a person who can wear something I don't really like just because it's currently considered fashionable. Great blog btw! :)

    Hooray, another teen fashion blogger! :) And ooh, your sparkly clutch looks lovely.. perfect for a night-out! I do find trends interesting because sometimes, there will be trends where I'll be like, "you spent $200 on THAT?" and then there will be trends that are actually very unique and I find myself loving them! I agree, I think trends are a great way of introducing your self to new things that you normally wouldn't wear or buy. I don't think I'll ever be the girl to follow EVERY trend in existance, but I will follow a trend if I genuinely find my self liking it!

    I think that if you keep true to your style adding a "trend" to your look is ok; just like life our style evolves. Fashion tends to be a trial and error in my opinion. Even if you step out of your fashion box and completely submerge yourself into a trend every now and again it can show that your daring. Just make sure you always come back to your true self xo

    I love the clutch! Trends can be really great (ie: get you to try something new) or perfectly awful (when you buy something you hate/ is unflattering on you just because it is the IN thing.)

    i think that we should follow trends only if they suit our only style and personality and lifestyle. we shouldn't blindly follow trends just because they are trendy but try to adapt them to our wardrobe and see if they make us look fab or fug
