Hair style is the final tip-off whether or not a woman really knows herself. ~Hubert de Givenchy, Vogue, July 1985

I took this picture couple days ago and I sighed dramatically as always. I usually complain of how my hair is so straight and still and just when I needed it to stay in it's natural shape it magically converted into this pseudo wavy-in-the-end hairdo.

I love my hair, it's quite long and I would never dye it, but it seems it doesn't love me back!! Of course, there are tons of hair products but as I am in a rush I just tend to leave it in its 'unique' manner. Don't get me wrong, I love to have a feminine, even preppy look so I decided it is time for a change.

Remember one of my posts about the genius brand ghd? Well, after some further research (this meaning an interesting talk with some new friends) I found out that they have the best ceramic flat iron , that does a fantastic job no matter what kind of hair you have. It sounds tempting, especially regarding the fact they deliver worldwide. Also, it wouldn't harm my hair because using the straightener twice a week is enough as the key of their products is effectiveness.

Top brand, with Katty Perry as ambassador, good prices and actually a result? On the whole, I'm chamed!!

Any hair product/ straightener are you lusting over right now?

Hello dear readers, wow, such a long absence! I know, but I've had the two most hectic weeks, with tons of sleepless nights and courses to study. However, there have been some good changes. Beware, there will be  a lot of writing in this post because I have missed you and my little blog a lot!

Someday between a test and two essays to write, I was instantly cheered up when the lovely team from 33knots sent me these two  simply perfect , handmade and authentic bracelets.

You may wonder what is it so special about this brand and the design of the bracelets. Well, I shall try to tell you some little secrets:

“Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!”  -Audrey Hepburn

It is no secret that, ever since December I have written in most of the posts how I dream of a white winter and how I miss snow. Well, I decided to take the matter in my own hands, as I have noticed that I can still wear a trench coat in my hometown and there aren't any signs of snow whatsoever. And by that I mean the fact that I went on a ski trip with my mates.

Needless to say, we had tons of fun, we eat everyday at my favorite bakery/bistro/pastry (yes, it pretty much does everything!) in the resort, we barely slept (that explains my face in the photo I guess. That's how I look after 3 hours of sleep). At the end of the 'mini vacation' we even stopped for 30 minutes at a mall so I was able to purchase the goodies I had an eye.

Another interesting fact is that I chose to forget about technology during those 4 days so I only took my lovely phone with me. Well, I didn't expect that much of a rupture, I mean there barely was any signal in the cottage we stayed!!

Now you can understand my delay I hope, I mean it took me a while to catch up with all the sleepless hours.

Advantages: snow, sales shopping success, bonding with my phone, karaoke
Disadvantages: I'm starting a new term tomorrow, after 3 weeks of vacation!

And some of the stuff I bought:

Photo taken 2 hours ago with all my new clothes. I hope I'll be able to post all the outfit photos soon.

Ah, not much time left and it will be 2012. This year has been amazing to me, because I have managed to fulfil my longtime wish: starting a fashion blog. It's been a great ride, I had some collaborations, made some money on my own, managed to buy a semi-professional camera from my savings.

Also, 3 days  ago I spent every single dollar I had on a reinvention of my wardrobe. Dresses, colourful belts, wallets and interesting tops. Not to mention the most amazing flats. I think you might have read about it at the facebook page.

I'm more than ecstatic looking back to this year and I hope for the best regarding the next one!
I have also realised that you, dear readers don't know my full name or where I'm from!
I'm Mary Manaila and I come from a small beautiful country, Romania. I love being called just Mary as you may have noticed.

Future plans for the blog in 2012? Definetely get a domain and..who knows..
Happy New Year!!!

Lovely leopard print, gift for some special one and my sparkling headband

Just stop for a moment. You are reading this right now, so this must be a moment of your leisure time.
Open the window, even if it's freezing outside and you pay n millions on your bill .Feel the fresh  and cold air. Inhale and exhale. Clear your mind, you are an amazing person, with goods and bads!

And just remeber...
"It's a news dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life"

I'm feeling good :)

Me back in Summer, Budapest, August
Have you ever noticed that , when you look at a photo from last year all you see different is your hairdo? Like it or not, your hair always emphasizes your face in a different way. Of course, you may loose some weight or have dark circles under your eyes and then you just feel doing your hair differently, even changing it's color.

I was writing in my last post about how I am obsessed with all these unique hairstyles but let's think a little about the basics: you can't do spectacular things to your hair without professional hairstyling tools and different products.
