♪ Jay Z- On to the next one ♪

I've changed a lot in the last five months and there are a bunch of reasons: leaving my hometown. living on my own, studying Medicine, being away from my best friends (and coming to terms with the fact that we can only rely on Skype and Facebook to keep in touch), not being able to hug my little sister and parents every day and having survived the first storm of finals in Med School. I don't think anyone can ever prepare you for the first important exams in your life as a student: I had 8 major exams (not counting English, Psychology etc.) in the course of 24 days and it has been the most intense and challenging experience I've ever had.

I really wanted my comeback post to include a list of the changes I noticed:

- I'm more confident than ever that I chose the path that's right for me- as hard and impossible the finals were, I realized I love studying all the subjects and that I really can't see myself in any other place!

- I don't get scared so easily-  I used to panic before an important test- sure, the fear is still there- but I'm more confident and I handle stressful situations better.

- I know when enough is enough- During those 24 crowded days I had times when I would just sit all day at my desk and then days when I would go out for a movie ( on that subject, you HAVE to see Whiplash, it's genius!), for a Starbucks coffee (we now have Starbucks in Iasi too, yay!) and listen to some good music to clear my mind.

- I like.. snow! I have always dreaded winter and the unbearable cold, but it all changed during the winter holiday. I went on a trip to Busteni with some of my best friends- we stayed there for 4 days and we faced train delays, a LOT of snow & cold and yet I loved every single moment of it because we were together! We cooked all the meals on our own (um, okay, on the 1st of January I gave up and went for a delicious pizza- photo proof in this post), we visited a lot of beautiful places ( the Cantacuzino Castle is a must see, I'm so proud our country has such an incredible heritage), played a lot of hilarious games, danced, laughed- I just felt infinite and I cherish the memories we've made!!

- I have less.. regrets! Every week I did not post on this blog due to university work I felt really sad and had tons of regrets. Now, I finally realized that I have kept in touch with the fashion world by constantly following the updated on various fashion websites and with my readers thanks to Instagram and my Facebook page (you can check them both when you miss my posts, I post updates often). Sure, it's not the same as the act of blogging but, I want you guys to understand how I really feel about Med School right now:

"I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. If you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it full speed ahead. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good." — Roald Dahl (one of my favourite authors)

- I really want to improve my... time management technique. I'm starting the second semester on Monday and I hope I learned a thing or two from the first one when it comes to time, so I want to believe I'll update this blog from time to time because there are so many awesome photos I took this winter and I would really like to share them! Of course, I want to also share my thoughts on the 2015 Spring Trends. I guess we'll see, fingers crossed!

Oh well, my past two months were so intense I can't quite sum it up accurately for you. A lot has happened, school proved to be more difficult ( I still got one more important test coming up, fingers crossed) , there were lots of parties, trips, changes and even a public speech was involved (thank God I didn't embarrass myself!). Still, there's one thing I'm certain of : I feel thankful! Thankful I've been able to go through so many interesting things, thankful I have my best friends and such a supportive family. I've also come to realize that there's only one year left of high school, which is thrilling and frightening at the same time.

Now, let us go back to the best friends label for a bit, because I've been promising to blog about it for ages. When I was little I found the notion of  a 'best friend' confusing. It felt like such a privileged and fancy title, such a weight on my shoulders to pick only one person who I can trust with everything.  But what happens when you find 4 girls who are equally trustworthy, fun , dynamic  and who you can completely trust and relate to?  You are once again, thankful (I know it's not Thanksgiving!), you don't question the reasons why you are so lucky, and just try to make sure they know how much they mean to you!

Oh, and let's not forget an important detail: you have fun! TONS OF FUN! You create memories, you party, you watch all the good movies and discuss all the interesting books because your teenage years and magical and you have to remember them- even the drama, as "we are who we are because a lot of reasons", written  brilliantly in The Perks of Being A Wallflower.

I find fascinating how I have with different things in common with each one of them, and that's why I have to quote C.S. Lewis :  “Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one.”

Do you have more than one best friend? Do you believe there is such thing as a best friend? And, if you finished high school , do you still keep in touch with your friends?

Give me a second, I- I need to get my story straight. The facts that I have stated in the last post about the weather are exactly the same: one minute it's all sunny and bright and the next minute you desperately reach for your umbrella.

Still, I have come across to these wonderful photos that my best friend Simona took of me, on a marvellous Saturday evening. It's actually a funny story behind this: ever since I started my blog I wanted to take some proper pictures of my favorite denim shirt from Zara but I always had another idea of an outfit post. You see, I've become so accustomed to wear it that it didn't strike me as something special or blog-worthy.

And then I went for a walk and we bought fantastic ice-cream and I was like a little  hyperactive child: "Oh my, S. I'm matching my ice-cream with my jeans you have to take pictures of this, like tons!!!". I didn't realise that I was wearing the shirt and my favourite owl necklace: mint as well. And yes, I know that bag doesn't quite match with the outfit but I am still looking for that perfect nude clutch every girl dreams of, and I am not going to stop!

Oh, well, I just looked outside and guess what: the sun is up! I wonder how long will it be until it rains again, place your bets ;)

Have a lovely weekend, my dear readers!

Enjoy!

I am going to reveal something. As you know, I am a highschool student and these weeks are crucial for me, with all my final exams, tests and projects to do. Still, I am proud to say I have developed a strategy, so I can still be happy and do what I like although I am super busy. Okay, I'll admit it, it meant taking hours from my sleep so far, but I'm sure I'll manage somehow!

Seriously, I have read more books and watched more movies than I usually do when I'm on holiday! I also make time to go out with my friends! These photos were taken on Tuesday (&me posting them so soon -that's a first- ha!) when I had a blast with some of my mates.

I wore something really comfortable and YES, that's once again the skirt on my life, sorry for featuring it here so many times, I'm just obsessed! I also added some accents which are 'in' for this season, like the mint & floral-paterned bangles and the nude wedges.

As  you all may have noticed, I usually like to talk a lot about life issues or challenges you sometimes confront as a blogger, because I feel many people are in the same situation.

So, what do people around you think when you decide to start a fashion blog? I must admit I was quite reserved at first, but  my friends and family turned out to be very supportive, so this is one of the many reasons I enjoy doing this.

Let's take as an example today. Today was a beautiful day and I decided to wear my new dress (the one I spend a FORTUNE on) from Orsay for a walk. The thing is I'm really obsessed with long skirts and maxi dresses at the moment, I bought in only one week 3 skirts and 2 dresses (including a lovely one from Asos) . What I really love about this one is that it has such a boheme allure, a little romantic and feminine at the same time.

Of course I had to post the outfit so my friends really helped me a lot -except the part with the ahem....special effects-. Therefore, don't be worried if you see some blured arm or a whole background. It was them :)

Take a look at what I was wearing:
