I'm back from the marvellous island of Greece, Thasos. It is an incredible destination, I recommend it to anyone who is looking for the perfect mix between mountain and seaside, with a lot of picturesque villages to visit and where you'll find exquisite traditional Greek food. Now, this vacation was full of surprises and I thought the title of the book I'm currently reading, "Tales of the Unexpected", by Roald Dahl would be suitable title for this post as well.

First of all, I don't know if you've ever noticed, but I seldom change my earrings. I had my gold little earrings ever since I was 10 and I find very hard another type of earrings to suit me. Still, when I discovered Style Lately 's selection, I felt the urge to risk and order this mint/golden pair online. They arrived just a few days before my departure to Greece, and I found myself wearing them almost the whole holiday! The have a great quality and I fell in love with the brand itself, I now have my eyes set on a gorgeous pair of sunnies and a fringe bag from their shop.

Secondly, right when I got the earrings my cousin came back from Sevilla. As I'm turning 18 on 12th of August, he thought to mark this special occasion and got me the most amazing gifts! This skirt from Zara is one them, and I found myself also wearing it and another skirt from Mango he brought the entire vacation.  Now, how am I supposed to publish on the blog so many photos with the same skirt??

Thirdly, the hotel where we stayed was amazing, with a perfect garden, with so many olive trees and roses, as you'll see in the pictures below. The only major problem was that there was wifi only in the lobby, hence my lack of posts.

Also, what do you think about the message on my Mango T-shirt? I find it very suitable because Thasos may be a great destination, but it wouldn't have been so fun to visit without my beloved family.

♪ Beatles - Roll Over Beethoven ♪

I've always liked to learn about iconic movies, events, books, people and music, and that's why, as most teenagers,  I've been trying to assimilate important things from different cultures and historical events. Just like I know the emblematic songs of Bon Jovi, The Rolling Stones, U2, Elvis, Madonna , I have listened a fair share of Beatles. And, as much as I liked the lyrics and the beat I told myself: "They're great, but I cannot see myself going through a Beatles phase". I was, fortunately, wrong, because I can't imagine how I could have missed so many incredible messages and rhythms! I've been listening a little too much of their albums in these past few weeks, without being able to listen to anything else. How does one get out of a Beatles Phase? ( not because I've run out of songs, it's just that I miss going through all the charts - UK Top 40 is my favourite!).

And now- let's talk about the dotted presence in this post. I'm always on the quest for the right white shirt, as I have to wear uniform at school and as I happen to love wearing white. Somehow this number from Persunmall seemed like such a fun way to sport two trends of this season: graphic prints and black&white combination. The quality of fabric is incredible, and I tought I should make things interesting by matching it with my favourite mint-colored jeans and some nude accents.

The result? Well, you tell me :)

Farewell, my dear holiday! Oh, my summer holiday is officially OVER. I'm so sad, I mean it's been the best holiday I've had so far as it involved a lot of travelling, SHOPPING, making new friends, improving this blog, reading, cooking & even a little driving. And there is one more major thing that happened in this beloved holiday of mine: I got my (now) favourite fragrance , Gucci Guilty & a Givenchy bag from some family friends!

Yes, a Givenchy bag! I was over the moon! It's not made of leather or anything, it's more of the light and beach-appropriate type but it has golden details, a great size (perfect for school) and the most incredible shape!!! What more can a girl ask for?

I took it out for a walk and decided to match it with some grey and sandy yellow tones, I love how every detail works! Of course my outfit needed a splash of color, so I went for a mint (I know, such a surprise! haha)  scarf which I got for my birthday from my cousin.
Also, note my incredible statement necklace I got from my friend Andreea, I love it! I really have amazing people in my life, thank you all for supporting me and always being so kind! Yes, I am talking about S. too , who took these stunning photos and also about M. who spoiled me today with the cutest navy top!

I initially wanted to name this post 'The little white dress' because that's actually how this Mango piece of clothing is labeled - dress haha. You might not notice in the pictures but it's really a see-through type of dress, there's no way of wearing it without leggings/shorts.

Before saying that this is not a very coordinated outfit , let me just explain myself: this is what I call a dressy and girlie ensemble for a bicycle ride. That's right, I wore this when I wanted to go for a ride in a park and well, of course I needed leggings so I went for some funky ones because I really love how the dots look with the pattern of the 'dress'. As I were at my cousins' these were the most comfy flats I brought with me so this was the natural choice. Do they match with the mint bag? Well, this is up to you and your own opinion..

And of course I have the worst decor ever, that is so me: when I'm in the mood for shooting (notice my big smile-well,I'll just bragging haha) I can't find a photographer or scenery. Ioana literally took these photos 4 minutes before I headed for the park, just a couple houses away from hers, hence the cars and background.

Now, if you're still with me, let's get back to the title: Lately I've been having these wild ideas regarding the blog but as school is approaching it I clearly don't have enough time. I would like to start a new column I've been working at for a while, 'Fashion Cliche' and also a post:  '10 things I miss about Florence'. Also, how would you feel about me reestablishing the 'Monday Muse' and/or 'Fancy Friday' sections? I really need your help this time, I'm just trying to make this little virtual corner more engaging and pleasant for you!

31th August. Last day of summer. This summer, which was ecletic and simply extraordinary! I made so many new friends, visited new places, learned and read a lot, just like I planned to.

Oh well, I won't get nostalgic because today is also a very special day! My cousin Ioana turns 12! For those of you who are new she takes most of my pictures and she is such a fashionista and far away from being camera shy! She should be a star, really! I was really surprised when I saw a photo of mine among her souvenirs (see it here) .Happy birthday, my princess!

She took these amazing photos as well. I know I said in late June that I would show you another look with this outstanding dress. I've worn it A LOT (my best friend S. can't stand it anymore haha) but I didn't get the chance to take any pictures. I know, I know, mint again, but I figured since I started the summer with a mint look to end it in the same manner. I got this amazing mint bag for my birthday from my other cousin and I'm simply addicted to it! The bracelet was another gift from my other best friend S. Oh God, so many cousins and best friends, are you still following? Anyways, Ioana is still the star of this post.

Have a lovely Friday, everyone!

I took this photos on our last day in Florence , when I went out to eat for the last time the most incredible 'After Eight' ice cream from 'Coronas Cafe'. I miss Florence so much already, especially because I realize it's going to be a long long time until I visit it again.

As I told you in my last post, I turned 17 and this is exactly what I wore at my small birthday party! I wanted to be feminine and classy so I went for pastels and that amazing wallet which resembles to a clutch. The only different thing was the hairstyle, I went for curls. We had the best quesadilla in town and a chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream on top of it! Thank you for all the incredible wishes and support, this was my first absolutely flawless birthday.

It was an incredible day and I received fabulous clothes, 'The Fashion Book' , mint goodies (a clutch included!) , five Agatha Christie books (because I'm a huge fan!!) and the oh-so-fabulous 'Gucci Guilty' fragrance. If loving Gucci is a crime, I plead Guilty!

Also, today is my little sister's birthday! She turns 10 today, I love you so much, my darling!!!

Hello there, my dear readers! I hope your week started just as amazing as mine. It has been my second day of Florence and I am simply stunned of how many things I have managed to visit and learn about in such a short time. Of course, this also happened due to the fact I have researched on the artists and works of art which I could find here. It's a whole different thing to know what you're looking at and not struggling to read those flyers.

If you are following and have enough time I would like to describe my schedule during these days:

1st day - We arrived quite late because the highway was so full, so we had less hours for ourselves than expected. Still, I managed  to see the great Duomo and the Baptistery, with its gates made by Ghiberti and called by Michelangelo 'the gates of paradise'. I cannot properly explain what I felt when I was observing the scenes from the old and new Testament.  The arhitecture of the city is so complex yet elegant, it's incredible how everything creates such a strong visual impact. We went later in front of the Pitty Palace, where I took the incredible photo of my cousin's dress, which was a hit on the Facebook page. Yes, that's right, my cousin Ioana who is the official photographer of my blog. Such a stylish girl, love youu, my dear! I attached the picture in this post too, by the way. There are no pictures of myself from the 1st day because I was so enchanted by the city that I was taking photos of the buildings and being the tourist guide of our family.

2nd day - I wore a mint jumpsuit I bought in Budapest one year ago from H&M, super comfy and paired it with my new sandals, from Florence, which are exactly the same colour of the details from my jumpsuit! Talking about purchase, I bought three Vogue Magazines so far because they are cheaper than in Romania. I only need Vogue Russia and I will feel complete.

Anyways, back to the visits, we started our morning with Santa Maria Novella because I am obsessed with Ghirlandaio's work. However, I also became fond of Massacio and Giotto once I saw the whole cathedral, which was pure perfection. Later we went to Medici Chapel because I was also psyched to see Michelangelo's work (I know, I am such a nerd sometimes!) and also to the Leonardo Da Vinci Museum and I became more aware of how much of a genius he was. In the afternoon, we went to Santa Croce to see Gitto's work and later we had a little shopping session.

Be aware, there are lots of photos and I tried to describe each landscape! Love you all! x

It's hard for me to stop, yet there is a thin line between sharing your life with your readers and your safety and privacy. Well, I've been gone because I had the Speaking Examination for my CAE exam and although it went quite well, I was so nervous!! Good thing shopping releases tension, the Mango store was the only one to comfort me after this important exam and this awesome white top I got from there is the greatest reward I could get!

I remember how I was complaining about the rain couple of weeks ago. Well, heat please go away!! I love wearing sunglasses, but as an accessory and not a necessity (yes, I am aware of how this may sound) and I can only wear ponytails and buns right now! Don't get me wrong, I love how fashionable everything looks but fewer degrees wouldn't hurt anybody.

Also, today I had my pre-birthday party! My birthday is actually on 12th of August but my incredible mates bought me a gift already, because I was always sad I don't get to celebrate my birthday at school. I made 36 chocolate cupcakes for them which you can see after the break and I got as a present the 'Hunger Games' trilogy.

Now, about the outfit of the day: the central piece is obviously my amazing statement necklace but I also really love the yellow&mint combination, I would have never thought they would go so well toghether. Also, I love the lenght of my new top and the details, it's just the perfect thing to wear for any ocasion! The floral printed flats are so comfortable, they have been my favorites these past few days.

Oh, but what about that one?

Well, my mint madness is still lasting and now I am the proud and happy owner of a mint dress!! I know you what you might be thinking: 'this girl does even know the shades? This is light blue!' but I can assure you it's actually mint. The thing is that when I shot the photos it was a really sunny day so that's why you can't see the colour properly. I promise to show you another ensemble with it though, in the near future.

I chose to wear it with my  mint (oh! what a surprise haha) owl necklace which is super cute. This owl has some incredible orange eyes, so I thought mixing this whole pastel look with some colorblocking accents like the bracelets, wallet and the belt. The flats don't match, I know, but I couldn't find my lavender toned ones so..you can't always wear a pefect outfit!

And...I finally found the sunglasses I have always been dreaming of!!! They are from H&M, vintage shaped and with leopard print.

Give me a second, I- I need to get my story straight. The facts that I have stated in the last post about the weather are exactly the same: one minute it's all sunny and bright and the next minute you desperately reach for your umbrella.

Still, I have come across to these wonderful photos that my best friend Simona took of me, on a marvellous Saturday evening. It's actually a funny story behind this: ever since I started my blog I wanted to take some proper pictures of my favorite denim shirt from Zara but I always had another idea of an outfit post. You see, I've become so accustomed to wear it that it didn't strike me as something special or blog-worthy.

And then I went for a walk and we bought fantastic ice-cream and I was like a little  hyperactive child: "Oh my, S. I'm matching my ice-cream with my jeans you have to take pictures of this, like tons!!!". I didn't realise that I was wearing the shirt and my favourite owl necklace: mint as well. And yes, I know that bag doesn't quite match with the outfit but I am still looking for that perfect nude clutch every girl dreams of, and I am not going to stop!

Oh, well, I just looked outside and guess what: the sun is up! I wonder how long will it be until it rains again, place your bets ;)

Even though he didn't write many things during his entire life, all his books are incredible and must be read in a lifetime. 'Franny&Zooey' is no expection. Once you look deeper you will realise that not the religious theme is the most moving, but the technique used to describe the feeling of being lost and how important a brother can be in your life.

Also, how sweet is this floral jacket I got from Zara two years ago? It has the most sublime texture and colors, I thought matching it with my oh-so-loved mint pants would be great!
