I actually love and support them and I would love to have the opportunity to shop more!

Lately, I discovered I love glitter, sun and everything that sparkles! I wish I had a glitter dress for New Years eve, but I think I will just settle for a manicure. Merry Christmas, I cannot wait to see what Santa will bring to both you and me! I have been super busy lately, redecorating my room and now I'm finally done, just in time for a very special birthday: my best friend S. turns 18 today!

I love her so much and that's why I decided to bring this column back, at least for this one day! I guess it's hard for me to write just in a few words how much she means to me, and how blessed and grateful I am to have her in my life. She is so optimistic, fun and knows how to stand for her dreams. She also has an incredible fashion sense and you can find the proof at her AMAZING TUMBLR

Sorry for the quality of the pictures, we took this back in November (I think?) at our prom and the last picture is just a proof of how much she really knows me: she bought me the Moonlight Breakfast CD for Christmas (my favourite band) and my most loved sweets.

I truly wish that you all have at least one special person in your life just like her and I hope you'll have the most peaceful and whimsical Christmas with your family!

As a child, I had one fashion pet peeve: pink. As I grew older, I started to accept it as a color appropiate for accessories,  sometimes even for blouses. Now, I see it as a state of mind. I like to surround myself with this colour, though not excessively. As much as I would like to 'think pink', I am not the optimistic type so I guess I have this need because I want to remind myself constantly that there are reasons to be happy and relax. It's such a joyful colour and that's why I bought my beloved Marc Jacobs Ipad case in this bright fuchsia shade (or honeysuckle?). I've always dreamed of a big poster/illustration/painting to replace my moodboard and I wanted it to have a strong message, something I would really like to do someday.

So, when I found this poster with a quote of the incredible Audrey, about PARIS and pink all over it, I knew I had to have it! Also, here is my favourite quote of Audrey Hepburn, which fits with the theme perfectly:

For some reason, that day felt like spring and I had so much fun with some of my friends and I had a positive thinking and I was like 'I bet it's only going to snow in February'. That's why I decided to wear my crop top (ha!) and the neon necklace I never got to wear last summer (ha ha ha).

Of course, the weather changed just as quick as my mood and now I am constantly covered in snow and exams. That's why I had to take such a long break from the blog, it is no secret that my studies are on the first place right now and I have to keep it toghether as I have decided to go for medicine (every Sunday in this semester has been about anatomy). As I said before, I was so anxious to write this post because I have missed you guys so much(I hope you can appreciate the fact that even I was busy I managed to reply to everyone's mails) and also because I finally get to show you my burgundy sweater, such a great essential and trend for this fall! Oh, have I mentioned it also has sequins all over it? This is what made me buy it actually, I always had a thing for fabulous & shiny clothes!

Now , I know there are less pictures, but this is only because I was in a rush and I found a great spot regarding the light. Needless to say, 5 minutes after I finished posing that fabulous light vanished!! Also, starting now , the photos of my details will have TeenFashionDiary's logo on the left/right because I have found many photos with over 1000 notes on Tumblr which belong to me , yet I wasn't credited. Even though I mailed everyone who posted them, I only got two replies and I was so dissapointed! You can see the photos I was talking about at my Tumblr: marylueden.

Now I congratulate the old me as the investment(if you can call spending 4 euros that haha) was a total success!!

Stressed but well dressed - this is how I would describe myself lately, I mean I least I try with the 'well dressed' part haha but I feel like there's not enough time, or maybe I have no idea how to manage mine! Therefore, a trick is in order for girls like me, who are always in a rush and still want to look fabulous:

Invest in a key piece for fall, incredible, unique yet still easy to wear on a regular basis!

I found mine at Zara, two weeks ago, and I couldn't be more happy! I'm talking about this white loose sweater, with the most amazing fabric, cut and easy to match with all my jewellery! I almost wear it too much, but you'll see after you click for 'MORE' why, it has a fancy detail in the back. Also, I'm sure you noticed the background- the same old background which I call the 'emergency' one as I have too many pictures taken here plus it's not cute as well...Oh well, forgive me, I had to show you this sweater somehow!

As for the song I chose it's because I went with my cousin and some friends and saw Skyfall, the new James Bong movie. I'm sure you've heard of it, it is an action movie with a huge budget and amazing actors after all but the thing that impressed me most was the subject! Overall, I got the following idea:

My fab moodboard & pile of fashion magazines. Gucci Guilty and Cerruti Perfume

Seasons come and go or 'fashion is made to become unfashionable' as Mademoiselle Chanel used to say. However, we cannot deny that there are some things that we constantly crave for. I am not talking just about a pair of the flawless Prada sunglasses or a Chanel bag, but about the food (Oh! The macaroons, the stawberries!!), the smoothies (the Starbucks logo is always on my Tumblr dashboard) , the Iphone bunny case and the famous fashion magazines.

This series will present all of them, one by one, because I have noticed there is always an artistic photo of the things mentioned above on the social networks. They have become cliches, and when we acquire one of them we are so enthusiastic that we pay the greatest attention to their condition (after snapping a photo and posting about it on Instagram/Facebook, of course!). Call me shallow, but my coffee tastes better when I have it in my Starbucks mug. I don't know if it's the visual impact it has on me or the psychological result of good advertising, but I just see these cliches as little things which are meant to make my life brighter!

I will start with my greatest love: the Vogue issue. Founded in 1983, it has revolutionized the fashion industry and it's the perfect publication to inspire you. And it's not just the trend report or the editorials that we love, but also its attractive aspect. The shiny cover, the infinite thickness, the profound shades, everything makes each issue appear magical and you as the fortunate owner of fashion's deepest secrets. We all cherish and love at least one issue, but fashion bloggers are also able to share this with the whole world. Now, magazines are not only regarded as an oasis of knowledge and inspiration, but also as the ultimate accessories.

A very happy me back in June with my beloved British Vogue

Accessories? I'm sure that in the moment you read that phrase you thought of at least one iconic pictures. In my long experience with the social media and continuously searching on various blogs, I have noticed there are three main ways that fashion bloggers choose to show their Vogue issues(this may also apply to Elle, Harper's Bazaar , Nylon etc. ). If you are a fashion blogger or an active member of Chictopia community , including this in your looks may increase the admiration of your followers. Here are some tips of how you can do it yourself :

I initially wanted to name this post 'The little white dress' because that's actually how this Mango piece of clothing is labeled - dress haha. You might not notice in the pictures but it's really a see-through type of dress, there's no way of wearing it without leggings/shorts.

Before saying that this is not a very coordinated outfit , let me just explain myself: this is what I call a dressy and girlie ensemble for a bicycle ride. That's right, I wore this when I wanted to go for a ride in a park and well, of course I needed leggings so I went for some funky ones because I really love how the dots look with the pattern of the 'dress'. As I were at my cousins' these were the most comfy flats I brought with me so this was the natural choice. Do they match with the mint bag? Well, this is up to you and your own opinion..

And of course I have the worst decor ever, that is so me: when I'm in the mood for shooting (notice my big smile-well,I'll just bragging haha) I can't find a photographer or scenery. Ioana literally took these photos 4 minutes before I headed for the park, just a couple houses away from hers, hence the cars and background.

“How difficult it is to be simple.” -Irving Stone (Lust for Life)

I had the most incredible 9 days with my cousins. Magical, even Florence worthy judging by the fun & crowded program. Not only the new friends, activities and long walks counted (10 km was the longest, I love a big city!!) but also spending time in my favourite bookstore, Carturesti , with a pleasant company for 3 days in a row. Needless to say, I came home broke but with a bag full of books and with a joy which words cannot properly describe!

You know how you can never be happy with what you have? There I was, having so much stuff to do, yet whinning about how I don't have enough time to read my long wanted book, Lust for Life . I have been searching for this book for a long long time, because Irving Stone's biographical books are INCREDIBLE. I think I have blogged about the 'Agony & Ecstasy' which describes the life of Michelangelo because I was astounded by the amount of history and information it gives.

Well, Lust for Life, the book about the life of Vincent Van Gogh not only has both, but also a breathtaking life philosophy. I barely managed to put this book down, and every 20 pages there would be a quote or a line which would open my eyes and make me ponder about 15 minutes. I keep it everywhere around me , it's an absolute masterpiece and it makes me respect the author even more!

I wore this outfit the very first day my chiffon peach shirt arrived! Now, this shirt has everything I ever wanted : the light color, comfy fabric, fancy cut, feminine allure and a feather print!!! Plus, it matches the book haha. Also, how cute are my navy shorts? I only own 2 pair of shorts actually because I prefer dresses for the summer so special thanks to my best friend S. for being brave enough to get these for my birthday!

It was an incredible day and I received fabulous clothes, 'The Fashion Book' , mint goodies (a clutch included!) , five Agatha Christie books (because I'm a huge fan!!) and the oh-so-fabulous 'Gucci Guilty' fragrance. If loving Gucci is a crime, I plead Guilty!

I bought this incredible dress 3 or 4 years ago I believe, from a Zara in Wien, it's always great to wear when it's a little cold in the summer.

Basically, this is how my life has been lately, just enjoying the summer holiday! I received another mail from one lovely reader asking me about some tips regarding my nails (and about that really golden &sparkling manicure I had back in December ). Well, I am flattered, but I have to admit that I am not an expert in the beauty department. Don't get me wrong, I love nail polishes and I have 20 of them from different brands, it's just that I am not good at applying them and making patterns or mixing them. All that I know for sure is that the 'invisible pedicure' is the hottest thing for this summer. Well, I always want to learn new things so I went out for an ice tea with 2 of my mates who know how to turn their usual manicure into a work of art in order to find more about their likings in this department.

My friend S. told me she agrees with the trend that the brand Julep introduced for this summer: metallics & chromes and after talking me into it, I couldn't agree more! For those of you who don't know yet , Julep is a company which makes some innovative nail polishes, as their colors don't contain any toxins . You have to be super careful when it comes to nail care, because the daily chores or work might damage their aspect and from what I've searched on their online shop they also have a wide range of nail care products, for all types of problems.

Furthermore, they have some lovely nail applications, I would like to visit one of their nail salons so much! However, I still get a look at their unique work(on a regular basis) because I am a fan of their Facebook community and I advise you to visit their page in order to get all the Julep updates, it's really engaging!  I couldn't help myself and I had to make a top 3 based on their nail polishes. Hello, my dear readers! I'm so happy that more people have discovered my blog lately and that they even email me asking for advice or giving me some advice. I received a lovely comment asking why I don't wear heels. Well, I love heels and I have quite some beautiful pairs  (I believe) but the main reason you haven't seen wedges, pumps etc lately is because I have been in Florence and is nearly impossible to walk on all those cobbled streets, especially when you are like me and barely spend couple hours a day in the hotel room. I took long walks there, beside the visiting part. I would go with my cousin or even alone and wander around the magical city. I am home now and I missed my friends so much! I went out with S. yesterday(who also took the amazing pictures!) and there was a lot of walking as well, so I thought about a funny compromise: flatforms. This way you can't say I don't wear heels, and I feel as if I was wearing my lovely flats.

I actually saw this pair in Bucharest not such a long ago but they were quite expensive. I waited for the sales and got them from Italy, it was the last pair in the store! I have to say they are super comfy and just the perfect thing I needed for school! The top was a very good investment as well, it's a timeless piece and it also has an incredible fabric! And now- the skirt. I know it won't be 'IN' for a long time but I have always wanted a pleated skirt and the colour got me hooked! I don't know what happened with the light though, we had issues shooting because everything was just too bright and the skirt seemed to have a neon shade. Its actual colour is the one that you see in the first picture :)

Also, I finally get to show you a necklace that has an imense value for me: the golden Paris one, which I bought last year in Prague, from Claire's. Funny, right?

Hello my dear readers, I'm so happy to blog again! I didn't have any issues with my laptop or anything, it's just that my visting schedule has been so crowded because there are so many incredible places to see in Tuscany! I took these photos in three places actually because we visited all of them in    one day! It was intense for sure, yet so incredible and rewarding!

Our first stop was San Gimignano, just the typical Tuscan village, with beautiful historical buildings, surrounded by loads of vegetation and with the most lovely residents! The second place was a widely popular city, Siena, where I was astounded by the Palazzo Pubblico and the central square, but also by the Duomo. I am really fond of all the Duomos and the Baptisteries after this trip in Italy, I can't even pick a favourite after seing the ones in Florence and Pisa (still, the 'gates of paradise' of Firenze's Baptistery will always remain in my heart ). In Siena I also found for the first time ''L'Officiel' Magazine. I am hooked, it's so bad they don't sell this magazine in my town, I really enjoy reading the current issue I bought!

In the afternoon it was about admiring the famous Chianti region. We stopped to eat in the famous Radda , where instead of buying pastas or pizza (which, by the way, are really the best in Italy!) I wanted two of their special torte (cake), one with forest fruits and a cheesecake, the best one I ever had because it is typically drier than American styles.

It was a whimsical day, and I also felt so incredible because I wore a super comfy outfit, with a colorlocking effect. The H&M cobalt dress is just the perfect dress for summer trips and the lavender flats were just a joy to wear, because all the streets were cobbled.

I have been super busy these days visting Pisa (yes, I have a cliche photo with me holding the Pisa tower haha), Lucca, where I had a 4 km bicycle ride, the Uffizi Gallery and the Pitti Palace with its Boboli gardens but I am not going to give further details because I feel that you are more receptive towards me talking about trends and my outfits. All I can say is that Florence is truly magnificent, starting from the pastas, gelato and granitta to Tiziano's paintings and Donatello's work.

As for the shopping, it's AMAZING as well! The real problem is that you have to have a really big budget in order to afford all these genius clothes, which wasn't much my case. I can't complain though, I really managed due to the sales and the fact that my birthday is in August so all my family members let me choose my gift here.

However, it is one thing in particular that I'm fond of: THE WATCH! The perfect, golden-rose, boyfriend type watch that I got from Fossil. I'm in love with this watch ever since I saw it on their site in February but the taxes and the shipping would have made the online purchase value double!! I thought it wasn't worth it, I sighed and moved on. However, on my first day here I saw the Fossil shop next to Chanel and my very watch was there, in the window. I had to have it, I just think it's the amazing gift I have received so far.

As for the skirt, I had my eyes on it as well for quite a while. I like how it's classy and feminine, you can't go wrong with a crochet skirt which is so ladylike.  I just waited for the sales at Zara et..Voila! The wallet from Mango it was quite a surprise! I was taking a nap ( haven't done this since kindergarten but this whole trip is really exhausting!) and my mom went out for a little and though it would totally match my watch.

I want to thank my beautiful family for all the pre-birthday gifts I have received and for bearing with me while I took so many pictures today. These photos are taken in the Boboli Gardens, a whimsical place.

Hello there, my dear readers! I hope your week started just as amazing as mine. It has been my second day of Florence and I am simply stunned of how many things I have managed to visit and learn about in such a short time. Of course, this also happened due to the fact I have researched on the artists and works of art which I could find here. It's a whole different thing to know what you're looking at and not struggling to read those flyers.

If you are following and have enough time I would like to describe my schedule during these days:

1st day - We arrived quite late because the highway was so full, so we had less hours for ourselves than expected. Still, I managed  to see the great Duomo and the Baptistery, with its gates made by Ghiberti and called by Michelangelo 'the gates of paradise'. I cannot properly explain what I felt when I was observing the scenes from the old and new Testament.  The arhitecture of the city is so complex yet elegant, it's incredible how everything creates such a strong visual impact. We went later in front of the Pitty Palace, where I took the incredible photo of my cousin's dress, which was a hit on the Facebook page. Yes, that's right, my cousin Ioana who is the official photographer of my blog. Such a stylish girl, love youu, my dear! I attached the picture in this post too, by the way. There are no pictures of myself from the 1st day because I was so enchanted by the city that I was taking photos of the buildings and being the tourist guide of our family.

2nd day - I wore a mint jumpsuit I bought in Budapest one year ago from H&M, super comfy and paired it with my new sandals, from Florence, which are exactly the same colour of the details from my jumpsuit! Talking about purchase, I bought three Vogue Magazines so far because they are cheaper than in Romania. I only need Vogue Russia and I will feel complete.

Anyways, back to the visits, we started our morning with Santa Maria Novella because I am obsessed with Ghirlandaio's work. However, I also became fond of Massacio and Giotto once I saw the whole cathedral, which was pure perfection. Later we went to Medici Chapel because I was also psyched to see Michelangelo's work (I know, I am such a nerd sometimes!) and also to the Leonardo Da Vinci Museum and I became more aware of how much of a genius he was. In the afternoon, we went to Santa Croce to see Gitto's work and later we had a little shopping session.

Be aware, there are lots of photos and I tried to describe each landscape! Love you all! x

Day 1 - I left my lovely town and arrived in Debrecen, Hungary. It was not my first time there so I knew  most of the places. I love Debrecen for its peace, traquility and the impressive variety of flowers. However, I was even more happy when we discovered a great Square yesterday. I expected the great things to come in Florence but there is something whimsical about this little capital! Its arhitecture reminds me very much of Prague and I love its castle and cobbled streets.

Wien, Prague and Budapest, they were all special and unique but I feel that I am more mature now and that I'm able to apreciate the art work at a whole different level.

To be honest, I'm so ecstatic about Florence because 'The agony and the Ecstasy', the biography of the great genius Michelangelo, written by Irving Stone is one of my favourite books. Hello my dears , sorry for being late with the outfit post again, but I had my cousins over for a week and I have been super busy entertaining them. We had a great time playing tennis, ping-pong, basketball , relaxing in the hammock at the countryside, watching the semifinals of Euro2012 and last but not least, I really enjoyed the role of a tourist guide when I showed them my town.

This is what I wore exactly one week ago, on the last day of school when I was awarded a scholarship and I figured I should dress smarter than usual. I don't only invest in the things which are 'IN' for the season (i.e. those mint pants I'm wearing all over the blog), but I also consider how many times and on how many occasions would that item be appropriate. This outfit is exclusively a mix of this kind of clothing, that I am certain that will go a long way. Take the black skirt for example: it has a fancy cut so it can be trendy this season, but in three years I can still picture myself wearing it. The white top tucked in is the same from this outfit post. I know, it's so versatile!
